When you come in for your free tattoo removal consultation, we will analyze your tattoo for the number of treatments it will take to remove a tattoo. The amount of treatments estimated by the technician multiplied by the square inches of ink in your tattoo determines the exact price it will cost to remove the tattoo. If you pick out our low cost Performance Package and your still not happy we will continue to provide free laser tattoo removal treatments for up to one year.

Hometown Laser Clinic uses the world’s most advanced tattoo removal laser system. This Q-switched Nd:YAG and Ruby laser is highly effective at removing a wide range of colored ink with only minimal side effects. This laser is FDA approved for the removal of dermal pigmentation (i.e. tattoo ink) and is the latest in a string of medical lasers designed to remove unwanted tattoos.
Two key processes break up the ink. The pigment in your tattoo will absorb the energy from the laser and break apart, and the incredibly fast pulse (6 billionths of a second!) energy of the laser will cause the ink to shatter like a sugar cube breaking apart. Some colors (light blue, light green, and teal/turquoise) are difficult to remove completely with Nd: YAG lasers and patients should expect that no more than 70-99% of this ink can be removed unless the tattoo is very old (20 years or more). However, the Q-Plus-C, the ruby laser, is very effective at breaking down blue and green ink when used by a highly-trained laser specialist.
Once the ink is broken down by the tattoo removal laser, the body will respond by moving fluid to the area to help flush away the ink. This immune-response will be obvious to the patient in the form of some swelling and redness in the area. Over the next few days and weeks the ink will be flushed away. This doesn’t happen overnight. Removing a tattoo takes a number of sessions.
All tattoo layers of ink, stacked on top of each other and a thick concentration of pigment particles cannot be completely broken down in one session. At Hometown Laser Clinic and Spa, we’ll go over your entire tattoo with the laser, breaking up as much ink as possible in every session. Each session will produce some level of fading, although for very new tattoos the fading may not be as visible because the ink is still so thick and dense. If your tattoo has shading, it will be removed with some degree of ease because shading is just a tattoo without much ink density. It may only take a few sessions to remove this shading.
The cost of each session depends on the size of the tattoo or tattoos being removed, with sessions as low as $50.00 per session. We’ll price each session during the free consultation but can only give an estimate over the phone. We’ll categorize your tattoo into “small”, “medium” or “large” for the purpose of pricing, and give discounts for multiple tattoos removed at the same time. Small tattoos are generally 2 inches by 2 inches, or four square inches. This means that a 1 inch by 4 inch tattoo would be small as well. A medium tattoo is a tattoo up to 4 inches by 4 inches, or 2 inches by 8 inches, etc. A large tattoo is normally given a custom price per session, and we are competitive if not THE LOWESTin our pricing and superior in our service.
The number of sessions needed to remove a tattoo depends on three factors: the age of the tattoo, the color of the ink, and the density of the ink …..Age Older tattoos can be removed with less treatments than newer tattoos. A black ink tattoo that is 10 years old may take one or two treatments less than a 1 year old black tattoo. A 20 year old tattoo may take two to three treatments less than a 1 year old tattoo. A name tattoo written in black (also called “dark green”) ink that is 1 year old may take 5-7 sessions to be removed completely.
…..Color …certain colors are more easily removed than others. Black and red tattoos are the easiest to remove. Orange, yellow, pink, purple, brown, and other shades are slightly more difficult to remove. The most difficult colors to remove are light green, light blue, and teal/turquoise. During the free consultation we’ll discuss the number of treatments you’ll need to remove certain colors, but expect that you’ll need a few more if you have a difficult color, but the most difficult colors may not be able to be faded down completely.
…..Density…Ink Shading in a tattoo is easily removed. Some tattoos with letters use shading to fill in the outlines of the letters. Some tattoos with certain designs use shading for clouds or other visual effect. Shading will be removed in only a few sessions in most cases.
…..Do “tattoo removal creams” help?
We’ve seen little to no evidence that magic creams help fade tattoos. At best, they fade the skin on and around the tattoo, which makes the tattoo look a bit lighter. Looking at the ingredients and components of such products makes one wonder how they would purportedly remove tattoo ink. No medical professionals that we’ve ever spoken to has expressed anything different from our view – these creams are a gimmick, and a waste of time and money.
Side Effects and Risks
Will the laser procedure scar my skin?
No. This is a question that many new patients ask about, and we understand their concerns. Modern tattoo removal lasers (Q-switched Nd:YAG & Ruby) will not scar the skin for two reasons. First, the laser doesn’t go deep enough in the skin to cause a scarring response. Second, the pulse from the laser is so fast that only the tattoo pigmentation is affected and surrounding cells and tissue are left undamaged. Scarring was an issue 10 or 15 years ago when the equipment used for tattoo removal was rather primitive. There is no need to be concerned about scarring unless you have a history of keloid scarring, which our provider will discuss with you.
Almost every patient we treat compares the discomfort less then, that of getting the tattoo applied. A key difference is that laser tattoo removal is much quicker – and a lot less discomfort. Most treatments take between 5 and 30 minutes, with the average being around 10-15 minutes. Patients compare the discomfort with that of a rubber band lightly snapping against their skin. Black ink tattoos are slightly less uncomfortable to remove than colored tattoos due to the wavelength of light we use to break up the ink. All in all very minor discomfort!
Some patients experience some redness, swelling, and minor blistering of the skin after a laser treatment. These side effects are temporary and your skin will heal back completely. We provide our patients detailed after-care instructions to help them manage their skin after the treatment.

Yes, laser hair removal treatment can help individuals gain confidence and achieve silky smooth skin in all the areas that really count
Many people choose laser hair removal treatment because they feel it improves their self confidence. Sometimes the shaved or waxed area may become irritated, and few people like the feel of the rough patches in between growth cycles. Laser hair removal treatment can be an answer to permanent silky smooth skin in those areas that really count.
Laser removal treatments can be the key to silky soft skin, which can really make a difference in a person’s confidence. With a simple laser treatment, individuals can free up all that extra time they spend on shaving, waxing or plucking. There will be no more in between stubbles that cause embarrassing intimate moments.
Many factors influence the decision as to which hair removal services an individual should choose. It’s best that individuals do research and visit many websites that offer the services they are looking for. It may also be a good idea for individuals to set up more than one consultation when choosing a service provider.
It’s best to focus on how clean the facility is and the professionalism of staff members, as well as the types of laser brands they use. Although the most important credential is that the technician who is performing the laser hair removal treatment, that he or she is certified. Most people have a natural instinct about what feels right to them and it’s always best for a person to go with their instinct.
Laser hair removal treatment is performed with a laser light that uses a pulse of energy to stop the hair follicle from growing. This involves heat, so a cooling laser tip is also used to protect the skin. Typically, in order to successfully stop the growth of hair, individuals must go through anywhere from 3 to 7 treatments.
Photo-facials: the Hottest new face Treatments.
- Is your face showing early signs of sun damage?
- Is your face starting to show signs of sun damage? Wishing for younger more radiant skin without any downtime ilp photofacials
- Are you starting to notice age spots on your face or hands? Is redness or rosacea making your complexion look blotchy?
- Are you troubled by large pores?
- If you want to improve the appearance of your complexion—without harming or removing the upper layer of the skin—consider IPL photo-facials
An IPL photo-facial is a gentle, state-of-the-art approach to making your skin look younger and smoother. The process treats the full face, neck, chest or hands, rather than simply one isolated area
or imperfection.A series of IPL photo-facial treatments can rejuvenate your complexion without downtime or a prolonged recovery process. And the process is easy to fit into your busy schedule—a full facial treatment can be completed in 30 minutes or less.
IPL stands for intense pulsed light. This revolutionary facial treatment method is not a laser. Unlike lasers, which operate on one wavelength, IPL photofacials use a broad-spectrum light source called flashlight technology.
An IPL photo-facial uses double and triple pulses of light, depending on your skin type and condition. Using a broad spectrum of light produces a ripple effect that reaches several layers deep into the skin. The depth of this penetration, as well as the specific light wavelength, are carefully controlled.
The intense pulsed light warms up the skin and uses heat to stimulate the body’s natural healing process.
These light pulses not only target superficial pigmentation or redness, but also penetrate to the collagen -stimulating layers of the skin. Result: Your skin is stimulated to produce new collagen and connective tissue, giving your skin a younger, smoother appearance.
- Sun-damaged skin
- Enlarged pores
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Age spots (sun-induced freckles)
- Most benign brown pigments
- Dilated blood vessels
- Redness caused by broken capillaries (telangiectasia)
If you have Fitzpatrick Skin Type 1-4 (a light to medium complexion-see chart) and want to remove hyperpigmentation (unusual darkening of the skin) caused by sun exposure, age or medication such as antibiotics, you are a very good candidate for IPL photofacials.
Immediately after an IPL photo-facial, your face will be moderately red—a condition known as erythema—and may feel warm to the touch, as after a minor sunburn. There may also be some slight swelling, or edema.
These effects, which typically last for one to three hours after a facial, are normal. They are a sign that the intensity of the IPL is in the proper range to stimulate healing.
An ultrasound gel is used during the treatment to calm the skin, and a soothing aloe-based lotion is applied after an IPL photofacial, followed by a cold compress to quickly reduce redness. You should be able to return to work or social activities immediately.
If you are being treated for sun-damaged skin (hyperpigmentation), those areas of the skin will be darker after an IPL photofacial as the pigment is pulled to the skin’s surface. Over the next seven days, the darkened areas will appear as dry patches; they will become slightly crusty and slough off, revealing smoother, younger-looking skin.
Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun following an IPL photofacial. It is important to wear a sunscreen and limit your exposure to the sun to less than 30 minutes.
Your skin will have a more even tone and will look and feel smoother after your very first treatment. As you continue your series of IPL photofacials, you will see progressive improvements—fine lines and wrinkles will diminish, your pores will become smaller and sun-induced freckles will fade. If you have rosacea, you will see less and less redness in your complexion after every treatment. Studies have shown that rosacea can be reduced by up to 80% to 90%.
The number of IPL photo-facial treatments you will need depends on the condition of your skin. Results vary from patient to patient; we will advise you on the number of treatments you will need to achieve the results you desire.
Some general guidelines:
|Sun damage (hyperpigmentation)||5 treatments|
|Broken capillaries||3 treatments|
|Enlarged pores||3 treatments|
|Fine lines and wrinkles||5 or more treatments|
|Age spots||5 treatments|
IPL photo-facial treatments should be scheduled at least three to four weeks apart to allow time to slough off the old skin.
Stretch MarksThe News: Is There Really Help for Stretch Marks?!
Stretch marks are a common problem for women who have had children and for anyone who has gained or lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time. They are sometimes even visible on body builders who, with or without the use of steroids, have worked tremendously hard to build up their muscles quickly. Even teenagers experiencing rapid growth spurts can get stretch marks. But did you also know that stretch marks can also be hereditary? Yes, slender people whose weight has remained stable can have embarrassing stretch marks!
If you are plagued with unsightly stretch marks, you’ve probably tried everything to treat them. A quick Google search on stretch marks will lead you to creams, lotions, potions and even recipes to rid you of this stubborn problem including one concoction of mayonnaise and old coffee grounds, another including egg whites and olive oil and yet another that involves Vicks Vapor Rub. Will trying these suggestions hurt you? No (unless, that is, you are highly offended by menthol). Will they get rid of your stretch marks? The answer unfortunately is…no.
If you find yourself wearing strategic cover-ups to deal with your stretch marks, there is now an easy and affordable solution with the VE 805 Fractional Laser. In fact, it was recently approved by the FDA with a 50% improvement rate for those stubborn stretch marks!
Fractional laser is one of the latest and greatest in non-ablative cosmetic laser technologies. The name “fractional” refers to its delivery of a number of high-precision micro-beams, creating deep, narrow columns of coagulation in the surface and deeper layers of the skin. The body then restores itself by forming healthy new tissue. In most cases, a topical numbing cream is sufficient to ensure a comfortable treatment. Patients everywhere are seeing noticeable improvements in their stretch marks, a common skin problem that until Fractional laser, had few if any solutions.
You may long to find the perfect Freckle removal method if you are covered with them. Freckles are tiny to large flat spots that appear on the skin areas frequently exposed to the sun. Areas most affected are the arms, hands, face, shoulders, chest and back. They are seen in children and people with fair skin. Red haired persons are more prone to freckles due to a generic link. It is also known as ephilides. The brown color is due to the accumulation of pigments in skin cells. It is prevalent in the summer, but fades during the winter months because the new cells replace the old ones. Freckles become less visible when a person gets older. Freckles are not the same as age spots that only appear when a person reaches forty. Age spots don’t fade during the winter months. Freckle removal can be done in a number of ways of which Freckle Laser Removal seems to work the best.
Cells in the skin produces a pigment called melanin, which gives the skin color. When the skin is exposed to sunlight, it produces more melanin in order to protect cells beneath the surface. Melanin builds up in one spot and causes flat brown spots. The spots get darker when they are exposed to more sunlight. After continues exposure to sunlight, the skin layers thicken. People with darker skins, don’t develop freckles as often as blonde or fair skinned people do.
Bleaching agents: are the most common method used, but don’t have a permanent effect. The bleaching agents attempt to fade the color of the spots so that they fit in with the rest of the skin surface. The surrounding skin is more often colored either darker or lighter, causing the freckles to appear more prominent. The bleaching agents may also result in burning of the skin.
Cosmetic covering: of the freckles is effective if the freckles are light but it doesn’t cover the darker spots.
Liquid Nitrogen freeze: is more effective than cosmetic covering and bleaching, but can result in damage to surrounding skin areas.
Retin-A: is effective but results are only visible after a few months.
Natural ways: include washing your face with sour milk. It prevents peeling because the lactic acid smooths the skin. Masks made from strawberries, cucumbers, apricot and sour cream are also effective. Lemon and parsley juice can be applied to the spots to keep them invisible.
Freckle Laser Removal is the most effective Freckle removal method. There are now a number of safe laser treatments available. The laser projects an intense light to the affected area and the light is absorbed by oxyhemoglobin and melanin, causing the destruction of the darker cells while leaving the healthy cells in tact. You need to wear goggles to protect your eyes from the intense light. A very thin piece of equipment is used to direct the light.
The pigmented spots on the body absorb the visible light from the laser, and heat from the light causes the therapeutic effect. No anesthetic is required, but you will feel a mild pinching sensation. The treatment will only last a few minutes. The spots get darker immediately after the treatment and the surrounding skin becomes red. The skin starts to peel after a few treatments and the dark spots fade and disappear. Only one or two treatments are needed for light freckles. Freckle removal takes a bit longer when the spots are dark. The spots should not reappear if you use sun protection lotion and avoid excessive exposure to the sun.
